Since I last wrote we have been busier than ever with the
International DNA Collection Project!
And equestrian travel is becoming very desirable.
Here's a link to a story in England's The Times written by a man who
rode 600 miles across the Andes. He doesn't qualify to be a Long Rider
for two reasons: you have to ride 1,000 miles to become a Long Rider,
and you must not pay for it. So he's a very adventurous equestrian
tourist!

Since we launched the World Ride website a week ago, things have been
happening with great speed!
A lot of kind people wrote to wish us luck on our journey,
and also many people have offered to help us in our attempt to get mane or
tail hair samples from their horses for my
International DNA
Collection Project. This project is designed to collect DNA
samples from every breed of horse on the planet! Out of about 350
breeds that are believed to exist, I have already collected nearly 50 unique
samples - and discovered several new breeds that nobody knew about! Thanks to our friends and contacts, in addition to the
samples coming in from American British breeds, we already have samples from
Mongolia, India, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Afghanistan and Switzerland.
Because of the importance of this DNA project, we have now
been contacted by many scientists who want to help us.
So there should be more news soon.
